This contemporary hand-knotted area rug features a dense wool pile executed in the Tibetan style. The composition is defined by a central camel-colored field framed by a wide, chocolate brown border and a thin taupe guard border. The field and border are sparsely decorated with whimsical, multi-colored geometric motifs including abstract zigzags, concentric spirals, and rectilinear symbols. The reverse displays the characteristic ribbed texture of a hand-knotted Tibetan weave on a cotton foundation. The rug is finished with short, off-white cotton fringe at the ends.
