This Mid Century Modern lounge chair and ottoman set is a striking example of 1950s American industrial design. The set features a black enameled wrought iron frame characterized by a grid-like support system for the back and seat. The chair is fitted with its original two-tone vinyl cushions, featuring an orange exterior and a channel-stitched cream interior. Distinctive cantilevered wooden ‘paddle’ arms provide a warm, organic contrast to the linear iron frame. Both pieces stand on slender tubular legs terminating in brass-tone ball feet. While the upholstery remains largely intact, the wooden elements display visible wear and finish loss characteristic of its mid-century vintage.
