This hand-knotted Oushak style rug was produced in Turkey during the late 20th century using 100% wool. The design features a prominent, multi-tiered hexagonal medallion centered on a saturated rose-red field. The medallion is rendered in cream, charcoal, and mustard tones with stylized floral motifs at its core. The চার corners (spandrels) are filled with a dense geometric star pattern in grey and orange, all framed by a geometric border of repeating red, white, and orange blocks. Measuring approximately 4 feet by 8 feet, the rug exhibits the characteristic low-pile and slightly coarse weave of Anatolian village textiles. A manufacturer’s label on the underside confirms its handmade Turkish origin.
