Federal Style Tiger Maple Wall-Mounted Cabinet, Late 20th/21st Century
Item Details
This elegant wall-mounted cabinet is a contemporary homage to Federal-period craftsmanship, specifically the Sheraton aesthetic. Constructed from highly figured tiger maple, the cabinet features two inset-panel doors decorated with delicate string inlays and a central oval marquetry conch shell on each face. The interior is functionally configured as a key or jewelry repository, fitted with two rows of small brass hooks against a solid maple backing. The piece is crowned with a classic cove-molded cornice and retains its original brass hardware. Designed for wall mounting, the cabinet includes modern steel hardware on the reverse for secure installation.
