4'7 x 7'7 Hand-Knotted Turkish Anatolian Medallion Area Rug
Item Details
This hand-knotted Turkish Oushak rug, originating from the late 20th century, is constructed of 100% wool pile. The design is centered around a prominent, elongated multi-lobed medallion in brick red, housing a complex interior floral arrangement in sage green and sky blue. The medallion is set against a clean ivory field, framed by four large stepped corner spandrels. A decorative main border features a repeating stylized rose and vine motif, bounded by narrow guard stripes. The rug measures approximately 4’8’ x 7’7’ and demonstrates a low-profile pile that has been professionally sheared to achieve a distressed, semi-antique aesthetic. A textile label on the reverse confirms its Turkish origin and material composition.
