American Arts & Crafts Quarter-Sawn Oak Humidor Pedestal, Early 20th Century
Item Details
This American Arts & Crafts humidor stand is constructed from solid quarter-sawn white oak, showcasing a prominent medullary ray grain pattern throughout. The design features a tiered silhouette with an open upper gallery defined by four elegant Gothic-arched spandrels beneath a square top. The lower section consists of a tapered storage cabinet, originally intended for cigars, fitted with a single paneled door and an original patinated iron pull. The stand is supported by four square legs with a subtle splay, embodying the sturdy, functional aesthetic of the Mission movement. While the finish shows authentic signs of age and surface use, the piece retains its original structural integrity and period hardware.
