A classic hoop-back (or bow-back) Windsor armchair by Heywood-Wakefield, Model 2044C. The chair is constructed from solid birch or maple and finished in their factory ‘American Walnut’ stain. It features a seven-spindle back, elegantly scrolled ‘knuckle’ arms, a deeply contoured saddle seat, and splayed, turned legs joined by a H-stretcher. The underside retains a partial original paper factory label with the model and finish code.

- overall with various scratches, marks, nicks, abrasions, restoration and wear consistent with age and use; possible repaired and replaced elements; fading and finish loss.
