This high-quality mahogany secretary desk and hutch by Henkel Harris was manufactured in Winchester, Virginia, in 2002. The two-part construction features a lower slant-front desk with an interior arrangement of arched cubbies and four small drawers. The exterior contains four full-width drawers exhibiting machine-cut dovetail joinery, each fitted with traditional brass bail handles. The top curio cabinet is enclosed by a single-glazed door with geometric wood mullions, crowned with a dentil-molded pediment. Resting on bracket feet, this piece exemplifies modern American craftsmanship in the Colonial Revival style.
