This complete set of six Eastlake dining chairs includes two armchairs and four side chairs, all constructed from walnut with decorative burl wood insets. The crest rails feature characteristic geometric incisions and stylized organic carvings typical of the Aesthetic Movement. Each chair is upholstered in a multi-colored striped velvet-texture fabric finished with grey gimp trim. The chairs are supported by turned front legs and squared raked rear legs, with all four feet on each chair terminating in vintage ceramic casters. The woodwork displays a dark, aged patina with visible grain and period-appropriate joinery.
