This pair of twin-sized headboards is executed in the ornate Rococo Revival style, highly popular during the Hollywood Regency movement of the mid-to-late 20th century. Each headboard features a complex symmetrical arrangement of cast metal scrolls, floral motifs, and acanthus leaf sprays that culminate in a formal pediment top. The pieces are finished in a consistent, warm gold-tone paint intended to simulate traditional gilding. The decorative cast sections are bolted to a simplified, rectangular support frame of square-stock metal, finished to match, and equipped with standard slotted mounting plates for easy attachment to twin bed frames.
