A contemporary live-edge walnut bench or low coffee table handcrafted by artisan Tim Liefer in Rhinebeck, New York. The piece features a thick, solid walnut slab top with natural ‘live’ edges and integrated butterfly (bow-tie) joinery in a contrasting lighter wood used to stabilize natural checking. The base consists of two slab legs joined by a single stretcher using pegged tenon construction. Hand-inscribed on the underside with maker’s name, location, date, and finish details
