Federal Style Stencil-Decorated Scalloped Tilt-Top Occasional Table

Item Details

This vintage occasional table features a classic tilt-top design, allowing the surface to be rotated vertically for space-saving storage or decorative display. The top is characterized by a hexagonal scalloped edge and is embellished with a central gold-toned stenciled motif consisting of six radiating foliate patterns within a thin border. Supporting the top is a baluster-turned pedestal that terminates in a tripod base with three elegantly curved cabriole legs. The table is finished in a deep reddish-brown stain that highlights the grain of the wood. While the silhouette draws inspiration from 18th-century English and American tea tables, the underside reveals 20th-century metal hardware, confirming its status as a high-quality revival piece. The tabletop exhibits an authentic aged patina with visible surface scratches consistent with residential use.
