Napoleon III Style Marquetry Marble Top Side Cabinet, Mid to Late 20th Century
Item Details
This Louis XV style commode features a bombė-inspired silhouette with intricate floral marquetry and parquetry veneers. The unit is crowned with a thick, contoured Breccia marble top in shades of grey, rose, and cream. A single top drawer sits above a central cupboard door, which is decorated with a detailed botanical medallion and bordered by brass scrollwork. The cabinet is accented with cast brass mounts at the shoulders and feet, and the interior is fully lined with a light damask fabric. The construction details, including the uniform rear paneling, indicate high-quality mid-to-late 20th-century manufacturing.
