Item Details
This Persian Qum runner features a silk pile hand-knotted onto a silk foundation. The composition consists of two large, concentric medallions with radial floral serrations in shades of turquoise, beige, and terracotta. These medallions are set against a deep midnight blue field densely populated with intricate turquoise islimi scrolling vines. The main border contains repeating floral palmettes and is flanked by narrow guard borders. A workshop signature is woven into a white cartouche along the lower border edge; the cartouche translates as ‘Jamshidi (جمشیدی)’ The rug is finished with a variegated blue and gold silk overcast edge and long white silk fringe.
