This mid-19th century Biedermeier style glazed bookcase is constructed with rich mahogany veneers and features a classic architectural silhouette with distinctive rounded upper corners. The two full-length glazed doors open to reveal an interior with three adjustable shelves, backed by a contrasting light-colored figured wood panel. The case is elevated on four substantial scrolled bracket feet with ball terminals. While the piece displays various historical repairs and minor veneer losses consistent with its age, it remains a sturdy and elegant example of Continental cabinetry.
