"Cardinals" Signed and Numbered Lithograph by John Ruthven

A limited edition signed and numbered lithograph titled ‘Cardinals’ by renowned naturalist and artist John Ruthven. A female and male cardinal are illustrated perched upon a branch with milkweed pods. The print is numbered 109/950 in the lower left corner with the signature of the artist both in the plate and pencil signed in the lower right corner. The image is presented in an oval opening with a simple wood frame. Ruthven (1927) born in Cincinnati, studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy and became referred to as ‘The 20th century Audubon’ due to the fact that he researched his subject thoroughly then masterfully depicted wildlife in great and exact detail.
Condition
, the lithograph may benefit from a fresh, updated mat and frame. The frame is nicked at the side.
