A Rookwood cream and sugar set in a soft brown ‘wine madder’ high gloss glaze, mold number 547-S, and dated ‘XLV’ (1945) to the bottom. The set is also marked with an ‘X’ to the bottom, indicating this set was pulled from the line for various reasons.
