Rookwood Beehive Lidded Bowl by Louise Abel and Lois Furukawa
Item Details
A Rookwood beehive lidded bowl in white glaze by Louise Abel (1894-) and decorated with hand painted butterflies by Lois Furukawa (1912-). Both artis’s signatures are found at the bottom along with the Rookwood flame insignia, the date XLVI (1956) and the mold number which is difficult to decipher. The bowl did have a very, very minor chip on the interior rim of the lid expertly repaired by Wiebold Studio in 2009.
