A Wonderful Late 19th c Renaissance Revival Dresser and Mirror
Item Details
A wonderful late 19th century (1870s) Renaissance Revival dresser in walnut with attached mirror, candle brackets at the sides, a white marble top and burl veneer. The desirable dresser enjoys simply magnificent carved detailing at the top pediment and at the fully dimensional columns at the front corners. Each of the three full length drawers also displays beautiful burled veneer escutcheons. The original castors remain with the dresser although they are not currently being used due to height restrictions in the room. Family lore claims this dresser to have been originally from a Kennedy family estate but there is no documentation. The tall chest of drawers offered next as item 14CIN213-004 complements this dresser.

Condition
to good antique condition. The finish appears to be original with a beautiful patina and there are no cracks in the marble. The minor nicks and scratches are appropriate, actually good, for the age of the piece.
Dimensions
, the height of the dresser is approximate. The finial is removed at the present time as are the casters due to height restrictions in the room.
