Item Details

A Victorian-era Eastlake style secretary desk constructed of walnut with burl wood accents. The upper section features a shaped galleried crest with turned finials and incised ‘spoon’ carvings. The slant-front opens to reveal a fitted interior writing surface. The lower case contains four graduated drawers, each featuring machine-made ‘Knapp’ joinery (pin-and-cove). The piece is detailed with incised geometric lines and original brass bale pulls, resting on casters.
