Arts & Crafts Mission Oak Nursing Chair Frame, Early 20th Century
Item Details
An authentic Arts and Crafts period nursing chair frame constructed of solid quarter-sawn oak. The design features a classic Mission silhouette with a straight vertical slat back (five slats) and square-cut posts. The low-profile seat height is characteristic of a nursing or slipper chair. The frame retains its original wooden seat slats and corner blocks, though the primary upholstered seat cushion is absent. The construction utilizes pinned mortise-and-tenon joinery, typical of quality period craftsmanship.
