Key Features: Almond-shaped eyes, filleted hair, “Archaic smile,” hollow back.
Description: Authentic Etruscan bronze head appliqué, c. 5th–3rd Century BCE. Small hollow-cast bronze protome featuring Archaic facial features, almond eyes, and diadem. Believed to originate as a vessel attachment or furniture fitting, now mounted on a custom display stand. Classical antiquity.
Condition
- Fair/Ancient Condition. The bronze exhibits a stable, dark green-brown patina with visible surface pitting, wear, and softening of details due to age and burial. The back is filled/obscured by mounting material. No active bronze disease is immediately visible in photos.
