Federal Revival Mahogany Lady's Writing Desk with Cabinet Top
Item Details
A mahogany lady’s writing desk in the Federal (Hepplewhite) Revival style. The piece features a bow-fronted lower section with a single long drawer over four tapered, fluted legs. The upper hutch contains two side cabinets with flat-panel doors flanking a central arched pigeonhole. The drawer exhibits machine-cut dovetail joinery, and the piece is accented with oval brass pulls and decorative carved patera medallions on the stiles. A stencil mark ‘7363’ on the reverse indicates a mid-century manufacturer’s inventory number.
