Item Details
A pair of rectangular high-relief decorative panels in the Renaissance Revival taste. Each panel features a central putto (cherub) mask flanked by elaborate scrolling foliage, rinceaux, and stylized grotesque dolphins or mythological sea creatures. The reliefs are hand-carved wood and finished in a dark, warm patina, and are set within a gilded egg-and-dart molded border. The panels are mounted on solid wood backings featuring period joinery and hardware.
