A pencil signed and numbered artist’s proof by Peter Skirka (New York, 1936-2008) of a fox. American-born artist/illustrator Skirka was renowned for capturing wildlife in its native habitat. This vintage framed piece depicts a fox in mid-stride in snow, title unknown. The lower left corner states ‘AP23’ along with a unique grey graphic mark, the lower right corner is pencil signed by the artist. Presented under glass in an oak frame and is double matted in a unique crosshatched linen, and terra cotta. The reverse is paper backed and wired for hanging.
