Pair of Clear Glass Wet Cell Battery Jars, Embossed "NX", Early 20th Century
Item Details
A pair of cylindrical, thick-walled, mold-blown glass jars with a very faint aqua-green tint, consistent with vessels for wet cell batteries in early residential electric systems. Each jar features a rounded base and a flattened, polished rim. Displays an embossed ‘NX’ mark within a horseshoe-like symbol and the number ‘6’ on the side. Includes attached paper labels providing provenance from a 1913 home in Augusta, Kentucky. Circa 1910–1930 (Consistent with mold-blown glass and early farmstead electrification).
