Description A late 17th-century English oak chest of drawers featuring geometric mitred molding. The rectangular molded top sits above a case configuration of two short drawers over three long graduated drawers. The drawer fronts are ornamented with applied moldings in varying geometric patterns, including rectangular panels and central lozenge/diamond motifs, characteristic of the Jacobean era. The case sides feature paneled construction with peg joinery. The piece rests on turned bun feet and features brass swan-neck bail handles on circular rosette backplates. Primary wood: Oak. Secondary wood: Oak/Pine mix.
