A pencil signed and numbered original David Armstrong limited edition offset lithograph titled ’Wade’s Mill’. Armstrong (1947-1998) was among America’s greatest realist painters. His watercolor paintings of the scenic American landscape have resulted in 60 sold-out lithographic editions. This exceptional depiction of Wade’s Mill in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia is presented in a stunning custom wood frame that resembles whitewashed pine in brown, gradually decreasing in intensity to a natural wood tone. Three mats surround and complement the colors in the piece; brown, an icy blue and a lovely mushroom color. The bottom left corner is signed and numbered 888/950 and the artist has signed it on the right lower corner. This high quality print is framed under museum glass to preserve and protect the integrity of this piece from the effects of ultraviolet light. On the reverse is a large pocket on black paper that holds a large biography with a photo of the late Armstrong and a certificate of authenticity.
