Ancient Sasanian AR Drachm Coin of Khusro II, ca. 600 A.D. Obverse: bust of Khusro facing right, wearing merlon crown surmounted by crescent, crescents and stars at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock (clipped). Pahlavi script to the left and right of the king’s portrait within the border. Reverse: Fire altar with two attendants standing facing, wearing tall headgear, both hands on sword hilts. Metal Content: silver. Diameter: 26 mm. Weight: 3.34 grams. The coin is circulated and clipped.
