Design for a Fan: Art Nouveau Grape Cluster Motif, by Henry C. S. Mason, circa 1900-1920. Watercolor and gouache on paper, inscribed ‘Design for a Fan by Henry C. S. Mason’ to the lower center. The semi-circular composition features a stylized Art Nouveau motif of nine pendent grape clusters with surrounding foliage, set against a radially-painted reddish-brown ground with green accents. Presented under glass in a dark-stained wood frame with simple mitered corner construction and plywood backing.
