Item Details

A large rectangular basket hand-woven from wood splints with a fixed, bentwood vertical handle secured at the rim. The body utilizes a plain over-and-under weave pattern. The rim is reinforced and wrapped with an additional woven splint.

Condition

- Basket exhibits signs of age and use commensurate with its type, including overall darkening of the wood patina. There are scattered breaks and losses to the woven splints, most notably along the top rim wrap and one corner. The bentwood handle remains fixed and appears stable.
