MCM Gilt Bee Motif White Glass and Brass Torchère Table Lamps, Mid-20th C.
Item Details
A pair of table lamps, each featuring an elongated, baluster-form body of white opaque glass (possibly opaline or milk glass) decorated with multiple applied gilt-metal bee mounts. The glass bodies are mounted on a circular molded brass base with an embossed twisted-rope band and a stepped circular foot displaying a repeating foliate or loop design in dark wash. The lamps are fitted with a brass socket and a stepped, flared, frosted glass shade, possibly original to the lamps. Wiring and plugs are consistent with mid-20th-century electrification.
