Pair of Brass Bull and Bear Bookends on Black Marble Bases

Item Details

A pair of matching bookends, each composed of a solid, rectangular plinth of polished black marble with white veining. Mounted atop one plinth is a cast brass figure of a bull in a forward-facing stance, and on the other, a cast brass figure of a bear in a standing posture. The brass figures exhibit a polished, gold-toned finish. The marble bases are angled at the top edge. Mid-20th Century (Circa 1970–1980s).
