Vintage 1960s Era Tomy International Airport Playset

Item Details

An extremely rare 1960s era Tomy Japan International Airport playset with light up terminal, canvas back play mat and four graphic tin commercial airliners including Pan Am, United, American, and TWA. This set was manufactured by Tomiyama (Tomy) in Japan and made available in the mid-1960s through the Sears catalog. The original box is not present. It still retains its original 1960s D Cell batteries, although no corrosion is present on the battery terminals. It has not been tested. The airliner elevators and horizontal stabilizers and landing gear are plastic and some have sadly broken off during storage as well as a 1.5’ broken piece to the side of the plastic terminal base.
