Oak Post Office Sorting Desk, Late 19th/Early 20th Century
Item Details
A large, freestanding desk constructed of oak, comprising a lower writing surface section with a single drawer, and a tall upper hutch section featuring a grid of 80 open sorting cubbyholes. The lower section includes a single large center drawer with an iron pull. Drawer construction features visible machine-cut dovetail joinery. The desk stands on four square legs and has an overall dark, aged patina.
