Item Details

A plank-seat rocking chair featuring a rectangular crest rail decorated with a stenciled fruit or floral motif. The back is formed of a row of turned spindles. It has shaped wooden armrests, a contoured plank seat, and turned front legs connected by stretchers to the rockers. The chair retains an old, heavily worn yellow-painted finish with visible underlying red and brown layers on the seat bottom.
