American pastel artist Mary GrandPré designed the book covers for the original US editions of all seven Harry Potter books, as well as black-and-white chapter artwork. In addition, she created a number of illustrations depicting some of the most noteworthy scenes from the books. The original works were created from the late 90s until 2007.
