Item Details
This is a George III-style tea caddy, constructed from mahogany with oak secondary wood. The rectangular case features a hinged, dome-shaped lid and rests on four bun feet. The interior is divided into three sections: two compartments designed to hold removable canisters and a central circular area for a mixing bowl. The front of the box is fitted with a bone diamond-shaped escutcheon. The case exhibits signs of age, including shrinkage cracks, veneer repairs, and minor inlay and veneer losses.
