M. C. Abushar is an artist, pianist, and author. She has a B.A. in art from the American University of Beirut where her father was serving as professor of pharmacy. She studied printmaking at Hornsey College of Art in London, U.K., where she specialized in etching and wood printing. Her graduate studies in art were completed at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, when her father was teaching pharmacy. The graduate classes in drawing consisted of drawing from live nude models.

As a pianist, she has posted her performance “Le Lac de Côme” by Giselle Galos on YouTube to grant peace to her listeners.

M. C. Abushar is currently writing and illustrating children’s books for ages three to eight. Every title in her series about ‘Tyler the rabbit’ has received the Mom’s Choice Award® for excellence and a five-star review rating by OnlineBookClub.org. She is rewriting every title in French. The stories inspire young children to seek fun by helping someone in difficulty with kindness.
