A Civil War Era Import Liege-Made French Model 1842 Infantry Musket modified to a shotgun.

This Civil War Period Import Musket more than likely originally had the standard 40’ barrel when made. After the Civil War, at some point in time this musket had a shortened barrel that replaced the original that measures 34.5’. Marked ‘LEMILLE A LIEGE.’ All steel surfaces have a dark brown rust aged patina. The stock has been reduced to just in front of the rear barrel band.

Condition

- Shortened stock and replaced barrel. Surface rust and some pitting on metal parts. Untested. Any firearm should be checked by a qualified gunsmith prior to use.
