This photo depicts one of the stops on the Italian Grand Tour which took place between the late 17th Century and the early 19th Century. It was known as the Roman Forum and was lauded as the most celebrated meeting place in the world.

Condition

- heavy lint residue across frame; total loss of backing paper and hanging wire; white scuff marks along right edge of frame; foxing and water damage around edges of frame; nicks and scuffs along left edge; foxing to photograph along left edge.
