A natural of Habana Province, Cuba, Osmel Almora Miró was born in 1992. His early beginnings with the medium came from the attraction of colors and textures when observing the paintings in the spaces linked to art on the island. He arrives in the United States in his teens and tries to translate all the changes that involve emigrating to his art. “Painting was always my greatest motivation to move on,” the artist says about his work. More recently, the artist’s paintings spotlight racial issues, and political and social implications.
