Hand-Painted Chromolithograph Virgilio Tojetti Print from 1895

Item Details

A hand-painted Chromolithograph Virgilio Tojetti Print from 1895, produced by the R. Dudensing & Sons of New York. This chromolithograph print is hand painted in watercolor and depicts three Roman female figures relaxing on a long stone bench, one is obviously more relaxed than the others as her bosom is exposed and she is combing her fingers through her hair, while the other two seem to be occupied in thought. There are flowers and garlands seemingly thrown about. This prints appears to be signed by the artist in watercolor and is stamped by the art house with the year within the signature. The print measures 32.25′ × 9.5′ and is presented under glass in a gold gilded frame with a high relief cast plaster floral motif around the outer edge.

Condition

-there is some chipping and cracking to the frame and it has obviously been repaired in a few places, but it is consistent with its use and age.
