"Floral with Green Vase" Original Painting by Brian Joiner

An original painting in acrylic on fragmented boards, titled Floral With Green Vase, by Cincinnati artist Brian Joiner (?-2010). The painting illustrates stalks of flowers with tiny pink blooms in a green vase, against a strikingly bright pink background. The painting is done on fragmented boards that are then pieced together cohesively to create a dimensional effect. The border, painted by the artist, creates a frame. The painting is signed by the artist to the back and dated 2002.
Brian Joiner was a well-respected Cincinnati artist. He was the recipient of many awards to include the 2009 Robert S. Duncanson Artist in Residence Award and he was commissioned to do work for the National Underground Railway Freedom Center.
