Late 19th Century Reproduction L.F. Moreau Bronze Sculpture

A late 19th century reproduction L&F Moreau spelt bronze statue ‘Lafille Francaise’. The translation in English of this beautiful Art Nouveau style bronze is simply ‘The French Girl’ and depicts a lovely young lady dancing in a flowing gown. The artist Louis Auguste (1855-1919) and Hippolyte Francois (1857-1930) were best known for creating highly ornate clocks and garniture sets in both bronze and spelter. This piece is a rare loss wax production bronze. There is a brass name plate on the bottom with title of sculpture and name of the makers.
