Seventeen Pieces of Civil War-Era Alabama Obsolete Currency Notes. Lot contains seventeen obsolete banknotes issued in Alabama in the 1850s and 1860s. Notes in the lot were issued by The Central Bank of Alabama (seven notes) and The Commercial Bank of Alabama (ten notes). Notes are different denominations, up to ten dollars. Each note features handwritten signatures and serial numbers. Notes are heavily circulated overall. See photos for more details.
