Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Ann Bowers has been a world traveler from a young age, experiences from which have guided her inspirations and artistic expression. She received a BFA from the University of Cincinnati College of Applied Arts. In contrast to her parents, her father a renowned Physicist and her mother a math teacher, Ann pursued a dedication to the Humanities and Arts, eventually studying with venerable artist Reginald Grooms.
Ann’s work reflects her strong sense of curiosity, problem solving and experimentation with various mediums, creating a diverse oeuvre of subjects. Environmental and Overpopulation issues globally continue to concern her, which she expresses in her work, simultaneously depicting strife, beauty and peace.
