‘Rita Mallett Blasser (1927-2014) held both a BFA and MFA in painting from Southern Methodist University and pursued, but did not complete, a PhD in painting from North Texas State University (now University of North Texas). She was active in the Texas Fine Arts Association, and was a member of the Women’s Caucus for Art, and Artists’ Equity. During her long career she had numerous solo-exhibitions and won many awards. She was also a longtime teacher of art history, life drawing, and painting in the Dallas County Community College District on numerous campuses, particularly at Brookhaven College. CV upon request.’
