Thérèse of Lisieux (1873–1897), also known as Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, was a French Carmelite nun. She entered the Carmelite convent at the age of 15 and spent her life in prayer, writing, and service, despite facing health challenges. She is the patron saint of missionaries, florists, and the sick. She was canonized as a saint in 1925 and is also a Doctor of the Church.
