A first edition 1909 George D. Mason, a Detroit architect, photography book titled ‘A Few of the Buildings Designed and Erected Under the Supervision of George D. Mason and associate Architects. 80 Griswold St. Detroit.’ Published as a trade catalog for the Detroit firm of George D. Mason and Associates. This book shows work done from 1882 to 1909 by Mason and by his former partner Zach Rice, and former employee Albert Kahn. Includes 68 pages of black-and-white photographs and one drawing featuring houses, churches, fire houses, hotels, factories, banks, and more defining Detroit’s architectural landscape before the rise of the auto industry along with advertisements in the back. Bound in cloth with glued binding and attractive oblong shape.
